After qualifying as a lawyer in 1981 I opened my first office on Main Street, Newmarket, concentrating on Real Estate closings, Wills and Estates but also trying other areas of practice. In the late 1980''s I decided to concentrate on my Real Estate, Mortgage and Condominium practice while continuing to assist clients with their Wills and Estate matters.

In my first office I was all alone. I had no secretary, no photocopier, a rented typewriter and a one-line phone. By providing excellent service to my clients I began to receive referrals and repeat business. As my practice grew I hired one, and then two, full-time secretaries to ensure that my clients always have their needs looked after quickly.
